  • Where does your shrimp come from?

    We source a mindful combination of wild-caught and farm-raised shrimp from all over the world. Click here to see a map of locations and learn more about our practices, including certifications and quality and safety inspections.

  • Where does your seafood come from?

    We source our seafood from all over the world exclusively from suppliers who share our passion and commitment to sustainability and responsible sourcing. You can click here to learn more about where our lobster, crab, shrimp and fish comes from and how it gets from the source to your plate.

  • Do you boil lobsters while they’re still alive?

    Unlike some seafood restaurants, Red Lobster does not boil lobsters alive. Our culinary professionals are trained to humanely end the lobster’s lives moments before they are cooked so our guests get the freshest, most delicious lobsters. Because the process is instant, it is the most humane way possible.

  • Do you serve any fresh seafood, or is it all frozen?

    While some seafood can be delivered from the water to our restaurants fresh and never frozen, other seafood is frozen on the fishing boats or immediately at the docks to maintain the best quality and freshness. It is precisely because some of our seafood is flash frozen at the site of the catch that we are able to serve the highest quality seafood all year round.

  • How does Red Lobster ensure its suppliers are following the law, including human rights?

    We have zero tolerance for any supplier or business partner who violates the law, such as participating in illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU), compromises our standards or participates in social welfare abuses that conflict with our practices or policies. Our Code of Conduct clearly states our position on the importance of upholding human rights, social welfare and fair labor practices and our commitment to taking swift action if this code is violated. To uphold these standards, Red Lobster conducts regular audits of our supply chain. We also require our suppliers to conduct regular direct and third-party audits to ensure compliance with all national and international labor and human rights laws and standards.

     

  • Why is Red Lobster eliminating plastic straws?

    As part of our Seafood with Standards commitments, we want to do everything we can to help protect and preserve our oceans and marine life so there is seafood to enjoy for generations. Ocean plastics have recently become an area of focus, so this an important step toward reducing the impact plastics are having on our oceans.

  • Why will it take until 2020 to implement an alternative straw product?

    The timeline for this commitment is influenced by supply and demand. We currently use almost 150 million straws a year in our restaurants. There is an increasing demand for alternative straw products, which means there is currently not enough capacity from the manufacturers of alternative products to meet our needs.

  • What will Red Lobster use to replace plastic straws?

    We are currently sourcing and testing a variety of alternative straw products, including plant-based proteins. It is important that we implement a product that works well with the selection of beverages we serve and meets the diverse needs of our guests.

  • Can I still get a plastic straw at Red Lobster if I want or need one

    We understand that some guests may still need or want a plastic straw, particularly people with disabilities. We will continue to provide plastic straws upon request to meet the needs of all our guests.

  • How does Red Lobster dispose of items used in its restaurants, like straws?

    We understand our responsibility to properly dispose of items used in our restaurants, including plastic straws, and we take the appropriate steps to do that. Our hope is that our efforts encourage our guests to consider their use of plastic straws more broadly, beyond our restaurants. We will continue to provide a straw upon request to any guest who requests one.

  • How much will this change save Red Lobster?

    This decision is not about cost. In fact, alternative straw products, even at a reduced usage, will be more expensive. This is an investment we are choosing to make to live our values and meet our Seafood with Standards commitments. 

  • What about other single-use plastics (i.e. bags, utensils, containers)?

    We are evaluating the use of all single-use plastics in our restaurants. We are starting by implementing this change with straws now because we heard from our guests and team members that this is an issue that is important to them. We are also already using #5 plastic for our to-go containers, which can be recycled through some curbside programs.

    We’re always looking for ways to give back to our communities. In a perfect world, we’d help everyone, but our resources are limited so we focus on nonprofit, charitable organizations that align with our core values of Respect, Integrity, Genuine Caring, Hospitality and Teamwork.   • What is the RL Shares program?

    Every week, we donate unused, wholesome food to local food pantries and organizations. Since RL Shares started in 2003, we’ve donated about 20 million meals.

My Red Lobster Rewards

  • WHAT IS MY RED LOBSTER REWARDS℠? IS IT FREE TO JOIN?

    My Red Lobster Rewards is a rewards program that lets you earn Points toward Rewards. And yes, it’s 100% free. You’ll earn 1 Point for every $1 you spend on a meal at Red Lobster (with certain exceptions), and you’ll get a tasty Reward every time you hit 125 points. Trust us, if you love seafood, those points add up fast.

    My Red Lobster Rewards is available to be used at all Red Lobster restaurants in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) by all U.S. residents who are the age of majority in their home state (which is usually 18 years old) with iOS 10.0 (or later) or Android 4.4 (or later) on their mobile device.

  • I ALREADY GET RED LOBSTER EMAIL AND COUPONS. AM I AUTOMATICALLY ENROLLED IN MY RED LOBSTER REWARDS?

    No. My Red Lobster Rewards is extra special, so you need to sign up through the app to get in on the point-earning action.

  • DO I GET ANY PERKS FOR SIGNING UP?

    Yes, you’ll automatically get 75 bonus points as a welcome gift, so you will be just 50 points away from your first delicious Reward.

  • IS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION SAFE AND HOW WILL YOU USE IT?

    We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information you give us when you sign up. We may use this information to send you offers and other program-related communications. You can read more about our data security and marketing practices in our full Online Privacy Notice at redlobster.com/privacy-policy.

  • HOW DO I GET POINTS FOR MY PURCHASES?

    It’s all about your receipt. Touch the “Scan my Receipt” button in the app, and your phone will switch to the camera view. Then, hold your phone over the QR code at the bottom of the receipt. This will scan the code for your purchase and the points will be added to your account right away.

    When you earn a reward, it takes about 24 hours to appear in your account. Please note that you can’t scan the same receipt more than once, you can only scan 2 receipts within 24 hours, and you can’t scan receipts more than 90 days old.

     

  • I CAN’T SCAN THE QR CODE ON MY RECEIPT. CAN I STILL GET POINTS FOR MY MEAL?

    Definitely. On the app’s Scan Receipt screen, tap “Enter Manually” and enter the 12 characters below the QR code on your receipt. Your points will be in your account within 24 hours.

  • WILL I EARN POINTS FOR ALL OF MY PURCHASES?

    You’ll earn points for every dollar you spend at Red Lobster, except tax, tip, discounts, the purchase of gift cards and, depending on which state you’re in, alcohol purchases.

  • HOW DO I EARN A REWARD?

    You’ll automatically get a reward every time you hit 125 points. It takes about 24 hours for your reward to become available, but it’s worth the wait. Every reward gives you a choice of three offers so you can pick the one that is best for you.

  • HOW DO I REDEEM A REWARD?

    From the app’s Rewards screen, select which of the three choices you want to redeem. Just make sure you’re at a Red Lobster and ready to redeem your reward. Show the Reward screen to your server so they can verify the reward and apply it to your check.

  • DO MY REWARDS OR POINTS EVER EXPIRE?

    Points expire after 12 months of inactivity, but most rewards expire within 90 days. To see when your reward expires, just go to your app’s navigation bar and click on Rewards. 

  • MUST I BE AT A PARTICIPATING RESTAURANT TO REDEEM MY REWARD?

    Yes, but on the plus side, you can combine Rewards with email or printed coupons and you can even redeem multiple Rewards at the same time. You can use the app to locate participating restaurants.

  • WILL I GET ANYTHING SPECIAL ON MY BIRTHDAY?

    You sure will, as long as you provided your birthday when you signed up. If you didn’t, no problem. You can add it to your profile on the Account screen in the app.

  • I FORGOT MY PASSWORD. WHAT DO I DO?

    On the app’s sign in screen, tap “Forgot Password” and enter your email address. We’ll send you a link where you can reset your password.

  • I HAVE A QUESTION THAT’S NOT ANSWERED HERE. WHO CAN I CONTACT?

  • How do I see hours of operation, driving directions and menu prices?

    You can get this information by choosing a specific restaurant with our restaurant locator, found at the top of every page:

    1. Set your location. You can use your current location or type in a city, state/province or zip/postal code. For a list of every Red Lobster in your state, just enter the state name.
    2. Enter your city or Zip code to see a list of Red Lobsters within 50 miles of that area.
    3. Select a restaurant to see its address, phone number, hours and menus with pricing. If no locations are found, it means we don’t have any restaurants within the radius you selected, so you may want to expand your search area.

  • What if I can’t find the answer to my specific question?
