Lobsterfest, Red Lobster’s annual celebration of "everything lobster" begins today, tempting seafood lovers with an array of new dishes.

Orlando, Fla. (February 28, 2006) — New on this year’s Lobsterfest menu are:

  • Lobster Bisque – Back by popular demand, and perfect for warming guests up during the winter months, this creamy soup is packed with tender Maine and langostino lobster meat.
  • Rock Island Stuffed Tilapia – This flavorful entrée features fresh tilapia stuffed with crab and seafood, roasted and topped with langostino lobster meat in a creamy lobster sauce.
  • Harborside Lobster & Shrimp – A succulent rock lobster tail is paired with Red Lobster’s savory shrimp scampi and a skewer of grilled garlic jumbo shrimp.
  • Classic Lobster & Snow Crab – A Maine lobster tail paired with a pound of tender steamed snow crab legs.

In addition to the four Lobsterfest specialties, Red Lobster also will be showcasing its Lobster Lover’s Dream (a rock lobster tail and a Maine lobster tail are paired up with shrimp, lobster and langostino pasta in a creamy garlic Alfredo sauce) and Ultimate Feast (a succulent Maine lobster tail with snow crab legs, shrimp scampi and lightly breaded fried shrimp).

"This year’s Lobsterfest offers a fantastic selection of flavorful, freshly prepared dishes so that guests can enjoy lobster in a number of different ways," said Kim Lopdrup, president of Red Lobster. "There’s something for every seafood lover thanks to our creative combinations of Live Maine lobster, Rock lobster, shrimp, snow crab and fresh fish."

Red Lobster has been credited with bringing live Maine lobsters to seafood lovers from coast to coast. In fact, the first place many people enjoyed lobster was at their local Red Lobster.
